“Mac McClung Wins Second NBA Slam Dunk Contest in a Row”

Mac McClung, who has only played four games in the NBA and spent most of his time in the G League, wowed the crowd during the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest in Indianapolis.

He beat out Jaylen Brown, Jacob Toppin, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. with his impressive dunking skills. In the final round of the contest, McClung put on a show by putting a jersey with his name on Shaquille O’Neal, running behind him, taking the ball from him, and executing a perfect reverse dunk over the 7-foot-1 legend.

McClung received a perfect score of 100 for this dunk. He scored 98.8 in the final round, beating Jaylen Brown by 1 point.

McClung now plays for the Orlando Magic’s G League affiliate, the Osceola Magic. He won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest for the second year in a row, becoming the sixth player to win it twice.

Nate Robinson is the only NBA player to have won the contest three times, but not in a row. McClung was uncertain about going for a third win. “We’ll think about it,” he said.

Last season, McClung played for the Philadelphia 76ers, and he helped their G League team, the Delaware Blue Coats, win the championship. He was also named the 2022 G League Rookie of the Year for the Los Angeles Lakers’ G League team, the South Bay Lakers.
