Anthony Davis’s Injury Update Status for Warriors vs. Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers announced their injury report for Saturday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors. Anthony Davis was expected to play despite having a bilateral achilles tendinopathy.

However, he left the game before halftime due to a corneal abrasion. As a result, he will not be playing for the rest of the game. The Warriors and the Lakers are currently fighting for a good position in the Western Conference standings. The Warriors are aiming to beat the Lakers for the ninth spot, which won’t change their position in the play-in bracket but will allow them to play the 9th vs. 10th game at home.

The Lakers are trying to fend off the Warriors and also hoping to secure a top-eight seed. The Lakers would only need to win one game out of two in the play-in tournament if they finish 7th or 8th. Meanwhile, the 9th and 10th seeds need to win back-to-back games to make it to the playoffs.

Although the Warriors are hopeful that they can push for the 8th spot, their recent loss to the Dallas Mavericks has made that goal more challenging. The Warriors still have two games left against Dallas, which are must-win games if they want to overtake them for 8th. This Lakers vs. Warriors game on Saturday is crucial for both teams.
