Caleb Williams Goes No. 1 Overall to Chicago Bears in 2024 NFL Draft

The wait is over for Caleb Williams, as the former USC quarterback was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. The 22-year-old’s selection comes as no surprise, given his standout college performance and high expectations.

Williams shone during his three-year college career, throwing 93 touchdowns with just 14 interceptions, and achieving a 67 percent pass completion rate. He also accumulated over 10,000 passing yards, earning accolades such as All-American, 2022 Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, and the 2022 Heisman Trophy.

The Bears appear committed to building their team around Williams, having traded their young quarterback, Justin Fields, to the Steelers during the offseason. Additionally, they acquired star receiver Keenan Allen to join D.J. Moore.

With big expectations placed on him, Williams has the potential to lead the Bears to a bright future. Congratulations to Caleb Williams on his new chapter with the Chicago Bears!
