Cops Investigating Patrick Beverley’s Ball-Throwing Incident

Police are currently investigating Patrick Beverley’s actions during the Bucks’ playoff game against the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on May 2. Beverley hurled a basketball twice at Indiana fans toward the end of the game, prompting officers to take a case report.

According to a spokesperson for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the case report has been forwarded to detectives who are now working to gather more video evidence from the arena and interview the parties involved in the incident. The findings will be sent to prosecutors once the investigation is complete.

Beverley has not publicly addressed the criminal investigation, but he did express regret for his actions on his podcast, “The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone.” He called his behavior “inexcusable” and acknowledged that he needs to be better in handling such situations.

While Beverley mentioned that fans’ trash talk crossed the line, he emphasized that it did not excuse his behavior. The NBA has yet to announce any potential punishment for the Milwaukee Bucks player.
