Fat Joe Praises Jalen Brunson, Says He’s Close to Becoming the Greatest Knick Ever

Willis Reed, Walt “Clyde” Frazier, and Patrick Ewing are often regarded as the greatest New York Knicks players of all time, but according to diehard NYK fan and hip-hop superstar Fat Joe, Jalen Brunson is on the verge of surpassing them as the greatest Knick ever.

Joe, who grew up in The Bronx and has been a Knicks supporter for 5 decades, is thrilled with the team’s performance this season.

The 2024 Knicks are advancing to the second round of the NBA Playoffs, with Brunson’s contributions leading the charge. Brunson averaged 28.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game this season. He delivered a stellar performance in a recent game, scoring 41 points in 44 minutes.

Fat Joe believes if Brunson can lead the Knicks to a championship, he will cement his place as the greatest Knick of all time, surpassing legends like Reed, Frazier, and Ewing. “If he wins the championship, that’s it. It’s over,” Joe declared.

Brunson even made time to video chat with Joe after the game 6 win. Now, the Knicks face the Indiana Pacers in a best-of-seven series, and Fat Joe plans to be in attendance for the first game.

“This Jalen Brunson, man, is must-see TV. Must-see TV. Cannot miss it!” Joe exclaimed.
