Kelly Oubre Jr. Considers Hiring Personal Driver After Recent Car Accident

Philadelphia 76ers player Kelly Oubre Jr. is contemplating hiring a personal driver following a recent car accident. Oubre, who scored 15 points and had 7 rebounds in Thursday night’s Game 3 victory, discussed the incident after the game and expressed his desire to make changes for his safety.

“Everything is good,” the 28-year-old said. “I’m okay, and the people involved were okay. I need to probably get a driver or something and stay off the road and behind the wheel, but everything is good.”

Oubre’s accident occurred shortly after the Sixers’ Game 2 loss to the New York Knicks on Monday. His Lamborghini collided with a 2023 Hyundai Elantra after allegedly disregarding a red traffic signal. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Despite the crash, Oubre was able to perform well on the court and noted his ability to continue supporting his family. This recent incident follows another traffic-related accident he experienced around five months ago when he was hit by a car and sustained a broken rib and injuries to his hip and leg.
