“Knicks Forward OG Anunoby is Out Due to Elbow Injury”

OG Anunoby, a forward for the New York Knicks, had to leave the team’s Western road trip due to issues with his surgically repaired right elbow.

His coach, Tom Thibodeau, revealed that Anunoby flew back home after playing 33 minutes in a win against Sacramento on Saturday night. The player had just returned to the team after missing 18 games due to surgery and had played three games before his injury flared up again.

An MRI was conducted and the results were clean, but Anunoby is considered day to day. Thibodeau said that it is unlikely that Anunoby will be able to rejoin the team for their last game of a four-game trip, which is scheduled for Thursday in Denver.

The Knicks have a stellar record of 15-2 this season, when Anunoby plays since he was acquired in a trade from Toronto in December. He is currently averaging 14.5 points per game for New York.
