LeBron James Declares Himself the G.O.A.T. During Backyard Hoops Session with Son

On Thursday night, LeBron James made a bold statement about his place in NBA history during a backyard basketball session with his 16-year-old son. The Lakers superstar confidently declared himself the “G.O.A.T.!!!” while playing late-night hoops at his Los Angeles home.

As father and son shot around, Bryce playfully called his dad “trash” and predicted he would miss his next shot. LeBron, however, consistently made his shots and made sure Bryce knew it.

LeBron didn’t hold back, confidently telling his son, “I’m GOAT, bro. G-O-A-T.” He followed up with another shot made, exclaiming, “Stop playing with me. This is what I do, man!”

While the term “G.O.A.T.” (Greatest of All Time) is commonly used during pickup games as trash talk, LeBron’s declaration carries more weight given his impressive career achievements. With 20 All-Star Game appearances, four MVP awards, four NBA championships, and over 40,000 total points, his claim is hard to dispute.

While his words may have been a way to tease his son, LeBron’s statement underscores his confidence and stature as one of the all-time greats in the sport.
