“Miami Heat sign Patty Mills for rest of season”

The Miami Heat have signed Patty Mills for the rest of the season due to concerns about depth at the guard spot.

Mills was waived by the Hawks last week and can join the Heat’s playoff roster. Despite being 35 years old and having played in just 19 games this season for the Hawks, Mills brings playoff experience and a reliable presence to the locker room.

He’s also shooting 38.2% from 3 this season. Although it’s not ideal for him to play meaningful minutes in the playoffs, coach Erik Spoelstra trusts Mills to provide depth when needed. His addition to the team is seen as a positive move.
