Michael Porter Jr.’s Brother Arrested for DWI, Adding to Family’s Recent Troubles

Denver Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr.’s brother, Jevon, was arrested on suspicion of DWI late Friday night in Missouri, just days after another brother, Coban, was sentenced to six years in prison for his fatal DUI case.

Jevon was pulled over around 1:30 AM for speeding, leading to the DWI arrest. The situation adds to a series of recent challenges for the Porter family. LMU, where Jevon recently transferred after previously playing at Pepperdine, has acknowledged the situation and is seeking more details.

Coban was sentenced on April 19 for a DUI incident in January 2023, where he ran a red light with a BAC of 0.19 and caused a crash that killed a woman and injured a passenger. This comes on top of another family issue, as Jontay Porter was banned from the NBA a few weeks ago due to his involvement in a major betting scandal.

Meanwhile, Michael Porter Jr. is in the middle of the playoffs and recently helped the Nuggets eliminate the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
