“Spurs receive praise from Coach Mike Brown despite playoff elimination”

The San Antonio Spurs lost a game to the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night. Although they were eliminated from the playoffs, the Spurs played well during the game.

Devin Vassell scored 30 points while three bench players scored double-digits, including a season-high 23 points from Malaki Branham. The Spurs forced 13 turnovers and dished out 39 assists during the game.

Kings’ coach Mike Brown, who spent three seasons as an assistant to Gregg Popovich, praised the Spurs for playing the right way. Brown acknowledged that the Spurs played hard defensively, were very physical, and played the right way offensively. They shared the ball well and moved it from side-to-side.

Despite their struggles this season, the Spurs rank second in the league in assists per game, behind only the Indiana Pacers. The Kings are sixth. The Spurs were down by 20 points in the second quarter but fought back and led for much of the fourth quarter. However, they lost the lead due to errors made close to the end of the game.

The Spurs played well and showed determination throughout the game. There were 11 lead changes in the game, and the Spurs kept themselves in it despite a poor start. The Spurs will continue their short road trip on Saturday by taking on the Golden State Warriors.
