Stephen A. Smith Slams the Referee for Kicking Giannis Out

Stephen A. Smith of ESPN was furious that Giannis Antetokounmpo was kicked out of Wednesday night’s game against the Pistons. It was a pretty strange ejection.

When Antetokounmpo scored a dunk over Isaiah Stewart, he did a stare down and the “too small” sign.

For the move, Giannis got a technical foul, which was his second of the night and took him out of the game.

Smith was mad that a big star like Giannis was treated that way.

Smith said on First Take, “I’m going to call the league office today.” “Today I’m going to call the league office. Why the hell do people pay to see the referee? That’s not a reason to kick Giannis Antetokounmpo out of the game. That’s not even funny. Fans, people who paid money to see them play, will not be pleased with that. “That’s not even funny.”

The ESPN host knew that The Greak Freak had been kicked off, but until Wednesday’s show, he didn’t know why.

And Smith said, “I didn’t know that was why Giannis Antetokounmpo was kicked out of a basketball game.” “That isn’t a reason to kick out a famous basketball player that everyone is surely there to see.” Because you live in Milwaukee, I know that you get him 41 nights a year. Thank goodness it wasn’t a road game where you only see him once or twice a year. But it’s silly that Giannis Antetokounmpo was kicked out for that reason.
