Timberwolves Teammates Jokingly Disappointed as Veteran Mike Conley Misses Dunk Opportunity

The Minnesota Timberwolves basketball team is doing well in the 2023-24 season, and is currently fighting for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

During a recent game against the Atlanta Hawks, the team poked fun at one of its veteran players, Mike Conley, who is 36 years old. Conley had an opportunity to dunk the ball but instead chose to make a layup, which disappointed some of his teammates on the bench.

Karl-Anthony Towns, who hadn’t played since March 4, also jokingly gave Conley a thumbs down on the court. An NBA tracking data shows that Conley hasn’t dunked in a game since April 4, 2017, when he was 29 years old and playing for the Memphis Grizzlies. The Timberwolves led the Hawks 56-47 at halftime, and will play their last game of the regular season at home against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
