Co Kerry Accident Today, Man in 20s Killed After Taxi Collision Lisselton

A man in his 20s has been died after the Horror Taxi Collison in Lisselton, County Kerry

Co Kerry Accident Today – A pedestrian and a taxi were both engaged in the collision that took place on the R553 at Ballydonohoe, which was located in Lisselton close to Ballybunion.

This morning, just after two in the morning, the Gardai and other emergency services went to the location. A short time later, it was determined that the pedestrian, a male in his 20s, had passed away at the scene of the accident.

Since then, his remains has been transported to the mortuary that is located within University Hospital Kerry. The cab driver, a man in his 40s, did not have an immediate need for medical attention and did not require immediate treatment.

Along with the execution of traffic diversions, the collision scene has been kept so that it can be investigated by the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The local coroner has been made aware of the situation.

A spokeswoman for the Garda issued a statement this morning urging any witnesses to the event to come forward with any information they may have. They made the following statement: “Gardai in Listowel are appealing for witnesses to get in touch with them.”

“They are particularly appealing to any road users having camera or dashcam recordings from the R553 between Ballybunion and Listowel between 1:30am and 2:15am this morning, to make evidence accessible to them. In particular, they are asking for footage from between the hours of 1:30am and 2:15am.”

Gardai have issued an appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the tragedy to come forward with any information they may have, particularly those who may have dashcam footage.

“Garda are appealing for witnesses, and they are particularly appealing to the driver of the vehicle to come forward,” a spokeswoman stated in a statement that was released this morning.
