Shuttleworth road shooting Battersea, Man Died in his 20s

A man in his 20 was shot dead in south London, quite street on Thursday night.

At about 21:50 hours British Summer Time (BST) on Thursday, officers from the Metropolitan Police were dispatched to reports of gunshots heard on Shuttleworth Road in Battersea.

A man in his 20s received medical attention and treatment from police officers and paramedics, but he was declared dead at the spot. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, which has opened a homicide investigation, the crime scene is still present. There have been no arrests made, and the investigation is still ongoing.

The police department stated that the guy had not been properly recognised yet, but that his nearest of family were informed of the situation. According to Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, who is in charge of conducting the investigation, “This is a tragic incident where a young man has lost his life whilst standing on a street in Battersea.

As at this moment, no one has been taken into arrest. The police are looking for the person who committed the murder and have issued an appeal to anyone who may have footage from a phone or doorbell to come forward.

“I would want anyone who was in the vicinity and observed events develop, or anyone who has captured this on phone or doorbell footage, to call police as soon as possible. Detectives are working hard to gather as much information as they can, and I would ask anyone who was there to get in touch with us.

“This murder will come as a terrible shock to the local community,” stated Det. Ch. Supt. Clair Kelland of the local police department.

“I want to reassure them that experienced homicide detectives from the specialist crime command will be working tirelessly to find out who is responsible, and that we will offer them as much support as we possibly can,” I will say. She continued by saying, “Throughout the next few days, there will be an increased police presence in the area.”
