A teenager was charged with robbery in Dublin’s Temple Bar.  A 17 year old teenager robbed an English tourist on Monday.

Teenager attacked the tourist Charlie Carter and punched him on the face and knocked him on the ground, teenager saw the opportunity and robbed the Carter.

Mr. Carter had some bruises on the face and neck and broken nose. He was taken to the St James’s Hospital for the treatment.

Police refused to release his name because he is a child and was also bailed but he has to follow some strict conditions.

Charlie Carter travelled to Whitehall for the match against St Kevin’s Football Club. Mr. Carter plays for St john’s Sports which is in Aylesbury.

Tourist named Charlie carter was with two other tourists, They were also the player of the same club who came to play the friendly match to Dublin.

Legal Proceedings and Bail Conditions

Teenager was instructed to visit the court again on September 5 to discuss the case with Director of the Public Prosecutions.

Match between St Kevin’s Football Club and St john’s Sports was supposed to be played at Saturday but it was postponed due to the incident.

Charlie Carter decided to return to the England and was supposed to visit the doctor on Monday.

Facing the Consequences

Teenager visited the courtroom with his mother  by his side. After the incident he felt guilty and cried during the hearing.

David Dolan mentioned that he received the arrest warrant on the Sunday morning then later he was arrested.

He was charged at the Pearse Street Garda station. Gardaí kept him in the custody until the next Monday morning. He roughly robbed €30.

Video Evidence and Acknowledgment

There were two other tourists with Mr. Carter. Suddenly Mr. Carter received a punch on the face from the teenager and while Mr. Carter hands were on his face, teenager saw an opportunity to put his hand onto his pocket and stole his wallet.

Gardaí mentioned that they were attacked by the group of 15 people.

Teenager also stole Mr. Carter’s bank card and tried to use in nearby bank where the bank card got declined because teenager doesn’t knew the PIN and later he dumped the bank card into the bin. Mr Carter also lost an silver necklace.

After watching the video evidence teenager accepted that it was the easy opportunity to steal the wallet and also accepted that a large group was also involved in the incident.

Gardaí later said in the statement that this was one of the hideous and brutal incident.
