Deanna Esmaeel, the mother of “The Sandlot” actor Marty York and a sheriff’s deputy in Del Norte County, California, was discovered dead at her house on Thursday morning.

According to TMZ, an active search for Edward Patrick Davies, the person believed to be responsible for the murder of Esmaeel, is now taking place.

At approximately ten in the morning on Thursday, the body of Esmaeel was found inside her residence on North Bank Road in Crescent City, California, according to statements made by Sheriff Garrett Scott to the Wild Rivers Outpost.

In a statement, Scott expressed how devastated everyone is by Esmaeel’s passing, saying, “We are all deeply heartbroken over the loss of Deputy Esmaeel.” Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and coworkers during this difficult time.

After Esmaeel did not show up for work and did not answer any of her coworkers’ phone calls, according to Scott, a member of the staff was dispatched to her residence.
Esmaeel’s boyfriend, Davies, was 54 years old and had lately changed his name from “Daniel James Walter.” Davies was Esmaeel’s lover. A warrant for Davies’ arrest has been issued by Judge Darren McElfresh of the Superior Court of Del Norte County.

The last time anyone saw Davies, he was walking away from the location. His headgear was in the form of a beret, and he had blue pants and a white jacket.

“Walter has connections to Curry County, Oregon,” Scott disclosed to the Outpost. He drives a black four-door sedan model year 2010 Mazda with the California license plate number 6JYD676.

On March 19, 2021, Esmaeel took an oath of office and was sworn in as a constable for the sheriff’s office by Erik Apperson, who was serving in that capacity at the time.

She was assisting others, which had been a “lifelong goal” of hers, as stated in a post on the Facebook page of the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office.

She added, “It’s time for me to take everything I have learned in my life and use it to help other people.” “It’s time for me to take everything I have learned in my life.”
