In the most recent drive-by shooting to occur in the city, a man and a woman were awakened by gunfire in Melbourne’s north.
At 12.10 am on Thursday, officers were called to a home in Excelsior Heights in Craigieburn after shots rang out.

A automobile drove around Janmara Court before stopping in front of the youngster’s house and firing many shots at his residence, thus the police described the boy, who was 17 at the time, as “extremely lucky” to be alive following the shooting that occurred.
The young man, who had been asleep at the time of the shooting, was found with a non life threatening injuries to the upper body and was sent to the hospital, where his condition is stable.
The youngster or any of his family members who were inside the home were not the intended victims, according to the police, who were hunting for at least two suspects in connection with the “targeted” event.
In the incident that occurred in Endeavour Hills, none of the boy’s family members were hurt.
