Port Pirie Cyclist Crash Mitsubishi Ute, 72 year old man dies after Collision

A cyclist has died in a collision with a ute in a South Australian town, 230 kilometres north-west of Adelaide.

The 72-year-old man was riding down Abbatoirs Road just outside of Port Pirie when he collided with a Mitsubishi ute.

The Risdon Park man died at the scene.

The driver of the ute, a 30-year-old Port Pirie West man, was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Road closures are in place between Spencer Highway and Waits Road.
