Cat And A Meerkat Are BFFs Since Day One!
Meerkats, whose scientific name is Suricatta Suricatta, are wild cats that live in the Kalahari or Namibian deserts and other places in Africa. This one might surprise you because it comes from Russia, up north where it snows and gets really cold in the winter.

The name Surya comes from the fact that the meerkat in this story is so unique. She is living with Ekaterina Kuraeva in St. Petersburg, Florida right now. Surya was taken in from the Moscow zoo and given a new home. Ekaterina just didn’t want this sweet animal to become a “office toy” somewhere.
A person might think that Florida doesn’t have many things to do and that the meerkat, which is social by nature, must find it pretty dull.
Clans, mobs, and gangs are the names for the groups they live in. Surya, on the other hand, is not alone at all. She has a big friend named Chartreux named Nice who hangs out with him. Some people might say that meerkats are kind of like cats because they look so much like cats. Due to their resemblance, they were given the names meerkats and meerkats, which in Dutch and Afrikaans respectively mean “lake cat” and “termite cat.”
This strange pair became best friends six years ago, when Surya was a baby and Nice was 2. From the beginning, they got along great and haven’t been able to be apart since.
Their connection is clear from their Instagram account. It turns out that Surya is needy and loving. It makes him a little angry when Ekaterina pays the cat too much attention. After that, Surya will jump and claw Nice to get away. Nice, on the other hand, is much calmer and quieter, but he’s always happy to give Surya some TLC.
